Rebecca Marshall

Rebecca Marshall attended the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City, majoring in film studies.  Her thesis film JONAH AND THE WAIL, about jazz trumpeter Jonah Jones, was awarded the Independent Feature Film Market Student Documentary Award, was nominated for the International Documentary Association’s David L. Wolper Award and was broadcast on the Independent Film Channel.

Rebecca joined Pennebaker Hegedus Films in 1999 and has since served as associate producer on the films STARTUP.COM, DOWN FROM THE MOUNTAIN, ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE, and ELAINE STRITCH AT LIBERTY.  Most recently she produced the film AL FRANKEN: GOD SPOKE, which premiered at the 2006 SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX.

 

Marshall splits her time between New York City and Scranton, PA.  When she is not working with Pennebaker Hegedus Films, she is producing her own projects.  She is currently making a film about her hometown’s hero, actor and playwright Jason Miller who starred as Father Damian Karras of The Exorcist.
